BHOPAL: Advocating for `Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ drive, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday said that the idea of indigenous and self-reliant India well propagated among Indian families during the lockdown period amid Covid-19 pandemic. Bhagwat, who is reviewing the two-day central region working committee meeting here, also met Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chuhan to discuss by-poll results to be announced on November 10.
“During Covid-19 pandemic, RSS succeeded in spreading its branches in the families where the dialogue among family members awakened the feeling of national interest and propagated the idea of indigenous and self-reliant India. Many old family traditions like family dining, companionship, evening prayers and lectures were revived,” said Bhagwat during the first day meeting at Sharda Vihar campus on the outskirts of the state capital.
