Here’s how to find Dallas ISD’s COVID-19 cases in Oak Cliff schools

Dallas ISD welcomed students back for in-person and hybrid learning on Oct. 5 after beginning the school year online on Sept. 8. DISD is operating a COVID-19 dashboard that is updated at 5 p.m. daily with new and cumulative positive cases of the illness since Sept. 28.

Users can view the case breakdown by school, ZIP code or trustee district.

Oak Cliff area schools have recorded a total of429 COVID-19 cases since Sept. 28. Schools in the 75211 ZIP code have recorded 153 cumulative cases, the highest number in the district and in Oak Cliff.

The majority of cases are generally recorded in elementary school students, though trends vary across schools and zip codes.

At the beginning of the school year, parents could opt for in-person or online distance learning for their children. Those who opted for distance learning must stay online for the duration of the grading cycle ending Jan. 29, and must notify their child’s school should they wish to return in-person during the next grading cycle.
